Dave's story

With more than two decades of experience in domestic carpentry and a genuine love for shaping beautiful living spaces, this work has become far more than a profession — it’s a craft.
Dave, a fourth‑generation carpenter and joiner who has also added plumbing to his skill set, takes a truly hands‑on approach to running his business. Rather than staying behind a desk, he’s actively involved in every stage of each project, from the initial design right through to the finishing touches. Working closely with his team of carpenters and trusted subcontractors, he ensures every client feels supported, valued, and in good hands.

From Dave

I love what I do.

Working with clients within a creative industry is much more than just a job, it's what drives me and gives me the determination to be better and learn more.

Its important to me that everyone gets a home they are proud of, and that feels like home when they come through the door. I just want to make sure everyone gets that same feeling.

I started Red Inclusive because I was inspired by 2 truly special ladies in my life, my mum (Hilly) and my Nan (Joanie). Unfortunately, just as Nan was starting a new chapter in her life, moving to a retirement apartment in a small village in Cardiff in her 70s to be closer to Mum, she lost her leg after a serious infection, and we nearly lost her altogether. She fought on, and the wonderful doctors, nurses and surgeons got her through it. But life changed forever. The flat she lived in was designed for retirement but not for wheelchairs and additional needs.

Mum became Nan's main carer with support from some truly inspirational care teams, but the flat was never right. There were difficulties getting a level-access shower, and the kitchen was totally inaccessible for Nan, so she relied on care teams for even simple tasks. This was too early on in my career, so I didn't have the skills or knowledge to help.

Sadly Nan has since passed on, but she lived life to the full until 94 and was a wonderful second mum to me, We shared lots of tea time chats (me making the tea of course ) and she loved a glass of vino.

So Nan is my inspiration to help as many clients as I can to get the homes they deserve and need.

The pictures below help remind me why I do it.
